1935
Incorporation of Industrias Químicas del Vallés, an industrial copper sulphate production company.
1968
Caldo Bordelés Vallés® and “Cupertines®” launched as our first own-brand products.
1973
Production of Copper Oxychloride begins.
1980
International expansion begins, mainly in Europe.
1995
The National Agriculture Division is created and international expansion is boosted
1996
Our fungicide range expands with the launch of metalaxyl-based Armetil® products.
Industrial tradition since 1935
To maximise harvests and protect crops to obtain the best yield possible from the land. This has been IQV’s goal ever since the family company was founded. Over the years and thanks to the creation of our first laboratory in 1966, we have become one of the country’s leading fungicide producers.
IQV’S ORIGINS DATE BACK TO 1935, WHEN THE FAMILY COMPANY WAS ESTABLISHED IN MOLLET DEL VALLÉS TO PRODUCE COPPER SULPHATE.
We launched Caldo Bordelés Vallés (Bordeaux Mixture) in 1968 as our first own-brand product marketed directly to customers. We are currently the world’s largest producer of this fungicide.
Years later we began producing and formulating the two other main copper compounds used in agriculture: Copper Oxychloride (1973), of which we are currently one of the world’s largest producers; In 1996, we launched our first metalaxyl-based formulations and in 1998 copper hydroxide.
The company’s international expansion began in 1980 and was increased in 1995.
The process culminated by strengthening our extensive international distribution system with the opening of subsidiaries in Portugal (2002) and Italy (2003), the United States in 2008 and China in 2013.

We have been part of the MAT Holding group since 2004. The group operates in the plant protection and water sectors, providing added know-how and broadening our horizons to further adapt and improve our business.

Our first-hand knowledge of the real problems farmers face with their crops and our extensive work alongside all our customers have made us the natural choice as market leader. We can produce a wide range of high quality salts based on copper compounds and we also produce metalaxyl.

A multidisciplinary internal team with skills in chemistry, agriculture and industry to improve processes and industrial activities and coordinate the biological study and testing of products and formulations.
We also offer a wide range of merchandise reception services, order preparation with the requested picking level, direct and indirect Cross-Docking, special handling, inventory management and control, and reverse logistics, among others.
